Surgical Procedures
Alexandria Healthcare for Women offers advanced surgical care for gynecologic and obstetric conditions when office-based treatment is not appropriate. Our approach emphasizes patient safety, minimally invasive techniques when possible, and individualized treatment planning.
Minimally Invasive Surgery– Whenever appropriate, we use minimally invasive techniques to reduce pain, limit scarring, and support quicker recovery.
Laparoscopy– Laparoscopic surgery allows diagnosis and treatment of pelvic and abdominal conditions using small incisions.
Robotic Assisted Surgery– Robotic-assisted techniques may be used for complex procedures, allowing greater precision and faster recovery in certain cases.
Hysterectomy– Hysterectomy may be performed using vaginal, laparoscopic, abdominal, or robotic approaches depending on individual needs.
Cesarean Section– When necessary, cesarean delivery is performed to support the health and safety of mother and baby. Tubal Sterilization Permanent contraception options may be discussed and performed when appropriate.
Dilation and Curettage (D&C)-T his procedure may be used to evaluate or treat abnormal uterine bleeding or incomplete miscarriage.
Lysis of Adhesions– Surgical treatment for scar tissue that may cause pelvic pain or organ restriction.
Vulvar and Vaginal Repairs– Surgical repair may be recommended for certain pelvic or vaginal conditions. All surgical recommendations are discussed thoroughly, with care decisions made collaboratively between patient and physician.
